It is almost impossible to build a new Melkonian School at such an ideal location.
The vision and the wisdom of Melkonian brothers is non-existent nowadays.
Whether we admit it or not, it is a fact that only schools like Melkonian will preserve our Western identity, culture and education.
Azkabahbanoum is meant to be
for the decedents of the Armenians who escaped the Genocide. Melkonian brothers knew how to do it. Closing Melkonian, the only coeducational boarding school of its kind,
is nothing but Azkagorzanoum.
The longer it takes to reopen Melkonian the sooner we will forget our Western Armenian history, language and literature. Let's not get to the point of no return.
Let's not fool ourselves, Virtual College is not the answer.
